What we do
Trusts
For when leaving something outright is not quite what you had in mind.
What a trust can do
- Hold something for a child until they are old enough to handle it sensibly.
- Protect what passes to a beneficiary going through a divorce or a bankruptcy.
- Look after someone who cannot manage money themselves.
- Keep a share of the family home where you intended it to go.
How we approach it
- We start with the problem, not the product. Plenty of people are sold trusts they never needed.
- If a will alone does the job, we will tell you so.
- Where a trust is right, we explain the ongoing duties honestly before you commit.
- We can act as trustee, or support whoever does.
Trusts and estate planning are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
